Syncing Free
Organise your music in Explorer and let Serato follow. Nothing is written until you have seen a plan of every change.
Folder to crate, any depth
Every folder holding music becomes a crate. Folders inside become sub-crates, as deep as your folders go. Tested against a real library of 59,000 tracks and 3,461 crates.
A plan before every write
You get a list of what is new, changed or removed. Apply stays locked until you have looked at it.
Add music, scan again
One click picks up new, changed and removed tracks. Or leave watching on and it syncs by itself as your folders change.
Build a library from nothing
New drive with no Serato library on it? CrateOrganizer creates one, then fills it from your folders.
Backups on every write
Your crates are zipped and timestamped before anything is written, so a later backup can never overwrite an earlier one. Restore any of them in one click.
Watch and sync on its own
Leave it watching and it checks your music folder every thirty seconds, adding new music to Serato without you pressing anything. It adds by default; letting it remove crates too is a separate switch you turn on yourself.
Library health score
One score out of a hundred, with the biggest problems listed first: missing tracks, files that will not play, duplicates, music in no crate and tracks with no BPM. Every check is kept, so a clean-up over several weeks reads as progress.
Duplicate scan
Find out how many copies you are carrying and what they cost you in drive space before you spend anything. Reviewing and deleting them is Pro.
Start my library over
Empty a library completely and rebuild it from your folders, with a full backup taken first and a typed confirmation before anything goes.
Hide libraries you never use
Serato leaves empty _Serato_ folders on drives you have barely touched. Hide them and the picker only shows the library you actually work in. Nothing on disk is changed, and hidden ones come back in one click.
Group under one parent crate
Optionally nest everything under a single named crate, so a synced folder tree sits in its own section instead of spreading across your crate list.

The duplicate finder
Groups copies by how certain it is: byte-for-byte identical, same artist and title, or matching filenames where tags are missing. Length, bitrate and size sit beside every copy, and the one worth keeping is marked.
Remixes stay safe
Remixes, live cuts, dubs, edits, instrumentals and acapellas are never grouped with the original, even when artist and title match exactly. Deletions go to the Recycle Bin, never straight off the disk.
Missing tracks
Lists every entry Serato can no longer resolve so you can tick off the ones to remove. Nothing is ticked to begin with, and a disconnected drive is reported as offline rather than missing.
Playlists in and out
Export any crate as M3U8, M3U, PLS or CSV, or import any of those back as a new crate. No audio file is moved, copied or renamed either way.
Smart crates
Save a search as a crate that fills itself. It is written as an ordinary crate file under Smart, so Serato reads it like any other and it survives a library rebuild.
Search by BPM, key or genre
Filter the whole library on what Serato already tagged, including the keys that mix with the one you picked, and half or double time when a groove wants it.
Rekordbox, Traktor and Apple Music
Write every crate out as a playlist carrying artist, title, album, genre, BPM and key. Rekordbox and Apple Music take an XML file, Traktor a collection.nml.
iTunes library import
Each playlist in an exported iTunes or Apple Music library arrives as a crate. Tracks on another drive cannot go in a Serato crate and are counted before anything is written.
Folder links
Music spread across several folders? Link each one to a crate of its own. They are all scanned together and shown as a single list of changes, with a single Apply.
Edit tags like a spreadsheet
Artist, title, album, grouping, genre, BPM and year in one editable table. Type straight into a cell, watch it turn bright orange, and nothing is written until you press Apply. Choose which columns you see and drag them wider.
Rename files without breaking Serato
Rename a file in Explorer and Serato shows a red triangle. Rename it here and the file, every crate holding it and Serato’s own database are all updated together, with an undo that puts the old names back.
Bulk tag fixes
Collapse four spellings of one artist into the best one, set a field across the tracks you ticked, find and replace inside a field, mark explicit tracks as RAW from what the files already say, and fill in missing BPM. Every suggestion lands in the table for you to read first.
Pick up where you left off
Retagging a library is not one sitting. Anything typed but not applied is remembered, and comes back exactly as you left it the next time you open the app.
Repair tracks that moved
Files moved rather than deleted are searched for by name, by size and by the tags inside them. Strong matches are ticked for you, and applying repoints your crates and Serato’s database at the new locations.
Pack a USB stick for a gig
Choose your crates and the music is copied to the other drive with a matching Serato library written beside it, so the stick works at the venue with no setting up. Space is checked first and identical files are skipped.
Which of these do I own?
Paste a client’s list or a promoter’s set list and get a crate of what you already have and a shopping list of what you do not.
Play before you choose
Play any copy inside the app and open its folder in Explorer, so you can hear and see exactly what you are about to remove.
Built to be careful with an irreplaceable library
Nothing happens without a preview
Apply stays locked until you have seen exactly what would change.
Atomic writes
Write to a temp file, then rename. A crash or an unplugged drive cannot leave a half-written crate.
Offline is not deleted
An unplugged drive is reported as offline. Its tracks are never treated as missing, and never removed.
Your own crates are safe
Crate removal is opt-in and confined to the folder tree the app manages. Crates you built by hand in Serato are never touched.
Stops when unsure
If a crate file cannot be read, or your Serato version has not been verified, it stops and changes nothing.
Activity log
Every scan, write, deletion and failure is recorded with the reason, in the window and in a file on disk.

Requirements. Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Serato DJ Pro or Lite. One file, no installer, no admin rights. Your music and your Serato library must be on the same drive, because Serato stores track locations relative to the drive.
